2024 Highlights: Literature, Travel, and Growth

As we blink, the 21st century quietly ticks away, with twenty-four years behind us and the twenty-fifth just beginning.

Relax—this isn’t a lecture or a sermon.

It’s simply me reflecting on what the passing year stirred within.

It’s fascinating to see how perspective transforms a thought?

Say, “I was born in nineteen-something.” Sounds mundane.

Now try, “I was born in the last century.”

See how it sparks curiosity and deeper reflection?

Time has raced past, bringing countless changes in its wake.

But I’m not here to dwell on how or why things changed.

I’m here to acknowledge the whirlwind that was 2024—its triumphs and trials alike.

This year, I barely noticed the time between December 31, 2023, and March 31, 2024.

I immersed myself in two major events in those three months – a Literature Festival and a Business Networking Conference.

The festival was familiar territory—I’ve been organising these for 12 years. Yet, this one tested me in ways I didn’t expect.

The Mahabiz conference, however, was uncharted waters. Planning, understanding its scope, and defining my role felt like a new journey.

Mahabiz taught me the value of trusting my strengths and saying, “Yes, I can do it!”

For someone who thrives behind the scenes, stepping into the limelight with confidence was an empowering revelation.

Completion of Goshta… Shramanarya Jivanchi…! brought creative satisfaction and professional growth.

This year also held recognition. All India Radio Pune invited me to discuss “Professional Opportunities in Literature and Language.”

The feedback was inspiring; some even took workshops offered by us. Opportunity, it seems, comes knocking when you least expect it.

In 2024, I explored Hong Kong and Vietnam—thanks entirely to Sangram’s meticulous planning.

Hong Kong Disneyland felt like stepping into a dream world. Macau’s casinos? A vivid reminder of Algebra’s probability lessons!

And Vietnam? A journey into history, where the indomitable spirit of its people left me humbled.

The year’s highlight was a magical night at Asha Bhosle and Sonu Nigam’s live concert in Dubai.

Our first live show ever—and what a show it was! Hearing legends perform live is an experience words can’t capture.

And so, 2024 ended on a high note! (Caught the pun?)
