Amer and Pooja are the main characters of ‘The Forbidden Quest of Mysore’. Amer is a self-proclaimed archaeologist. Pooja, his girlfriend, is working in an IT company. This book is not only a love story but also has a mystery angle too.
Amer’s father was an archaeologist and was supposed to run away with some treasure. Amer decides to find out the truth behind. The story unfolds as Amer starts gathering clues leading to the treasure. This story takes to all historically and architecturally important places. This story is a work of fiction but the places mentioned in the story are in existence. The love story and the mystery unfold together. As the story progresses, we can see the normal problems associated with the love marriage of people from different social and economic background. When a reader gets lost in the mystery a love angle comes forward. While solving the love problems a reader ends up to another clue to solve the mystery. While solving the clues Amer puts forward some questions which tickles thinkers side of the reader’s brain.
The book holds readers attention till the end. However, sometimes the love story takes over the mystery. I felt that the mystery was ended in a rush and a little dramatic manner.
You just need to grab a copy of the book to find what happens to the love story of Amer and Pooja? Does Amer solve the mystery of the disappearance of his father?
