Hello Friends,

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. May Lord Ganesha bless you!

Today is Ganesh Festival where we worship Lord Ganesha, God of knowledge and Wisdom. Coincidentally it is birthday of Sir Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan*, which is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in India.

Lord Ganesha is the first thing you worship when you start learning. In old days ‘Shri Ganeshay Namah (श्री गणेशाय नम:) is written on slate or even before that on sand to signify the learning process. Lord Ganesh is master of 64 Art Forms and 14 techniques (६४ कला आणि १४ विद्या)** . Teachers are the ones who introduce us to the knowledge and wisdom.

Teachers play very important role in our life. Teachers are not only those whom you meet in school or universities but anyone from you learn something is a teacher.

With gratitude I thank all my teachers for playing an important role in shaping my life, teaching me to be a good human being. May Lord Ganesha bless you all.

Om Gam Ganapatey Namah (ओम गं गणपतेय नम:)
